The three glass forms resembling my likeness act as a symbolism for the past, present and future. Lined up together, they form a triptych reflecting progression through life – A visual commentary on the ever-changing human image and a paradigm of time. Every minute, every hour we shift, we age, we fragment, we become. Identity is not fixed; it drifts. Just like glass, we are shaped by pressure, heat, and experience – fluid, then hardened into something that appears to be a solid - but remains to be fragile.
By casting my face in glass, I become the creator and the created, symbolising birth, rebirth, and a spiritual transformation of the self.
